HOW DO I GO ABOUT NOMINATING MYSELF OR SOMEONE ELSE?

THE WOMAN OF STATURE AWARDS FOLLOWS AN EIGHT-STEP PROCESS:

One of the major benefits as a Nominee, Finalist or Winner is the personal and professional development during their nomination journey. The coaching and mentoring received and in addition to this the PR and Media exposure in South Africa, Africa, and globally.

A woman over the age of 18, who is living and working in South Africa.

No, but you must live and work in South Africa.

There is a nomination fee of R100 which is paid when someone is nominating another.

There is a nomination administration fee of R750 when accepting the nomination and self-nominating.

As part of the ethical and integrity-led values of the Woman of Stature Awards, all nominations are carefully screened for compliance, submitted documentation is carefully verified to ensure authenticity and to maintain the credibility and prestige of the awards process.

In the unlikely event that your nomination is unsuccessful after completion of the verification process, the administration fee paid will be refunded in full.

The nominee is asked to support with fundraising as part of her contribution and set their own target. There are two special awards in addition to the category awards: Fundraiser of the Year for the most funds raised and Public Choice Award which is determined by a public voting system. This does not influence the results or determine the category or overall winner.

If a category does not meet the minimum requirement of five nominations (nominees), Woman of Stature has the right to close the category, move the nominee to another category.

AWARDS GALA DINNER EVENT:

It is a requirement for a finalist to attend the awards gala dinner in person.
Finalists qualify for a FREE ticket by selling a minimum of 4 tickets.
Two free tickets when they sell a minimum of 8 tickets or a corporate table.
Finalists are responsible for their own travel and accommodation.
Finalists receive a framed finalist certificate.
Category winners receive a framed category winner certificate, trophy, and various other prizes.
Overall winner receives a framed winner certificate, trophy, and various other prizes.
Official photos taken of finalists and winners.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON'T ATTEND THE GALA AWARDS?

This will lead to an elimination, however an exception will be made in the event of hospitalisation or death of an immediate family member.

CAN YOU TELL ME MORE ABOUT THE ADJUDICATION PROCESS?

Every category is adjudicated by three independent adjudicators.
Interviews are conducted online and on Zoom.
Interview time is 20 minutes.
Finalists will be informed well in advance of their interview date and time.
Results will be announced at the Gala Awards Dinner.

ARE THERE ANY OTHER AWARDS AND DOES IT INFLUENCE THE OUTCOME OF THE CATEGORY AWARDS?

There are two additional awards: Fundraiser of the Year and Public Choice Award.

This does not in any way influence the outcome of the category awards or overall winner, and is not mandatory.

Fundraising supports the Woman of Stature initiatives.

The “Public Choice Award” is in aid of raising the profile of the nominee who is building her personal brand.
